​Officers from Engage416 hosted 31 town hall meetings in at-risk Toronto communities from September 2019 to March 2020.This provided opportunities to facilitate stakeholder and community education. Front-line uniform officers were deployed to conduct community outreach and promote gang prevention initiatives.

 

The town hall meetings focused on education, providing community members with information and resources to support gang violence prevention. Engage416 collaborates with communities in understanding what motivates gang behavior. Collaboration assists in developing effective and tailored strategies in the prevention of gang involvement.

Engage416 offers free wrap-around support services to at risk individuals and families in the City of Toronto. Working with justice impacted individuals, connecting them to supports and services in efforts to prevent recidivism.

Engage416 youth programs are aimed to support those at risk through active participation, disrupting the cycle of youth gang involvement.
