We hire summer students in the following areas:
Operations
The Operations team deals directly with people who’ve been injured or becomes ill because of work. We provide our customers with the best possible service through claim adjudication, ensuring payment, return-to-work services, and managing access to health services.
Employer Services
Our Employer Services team focuses on our business customers. Our goal is to help people to register their business, report and pay premiums and to reduce injuries and illness in their workplace. This team includes Employer Account Services, Corporate Compliance and Workplace Health and Safety Services. This team promotes and encourages employers to create healthier and safer Ontario workplaces
Corporate Services
This team includes our policy development, data analytics and reporting, communications, change management and language services, as well as our vendor and supply management, and our physical workspaces and emergency management.
Finance
The finance teamtakes care ofthe financial health and integrity ofthe WSIB,includingmanaging the fundsneededto support injured people as they recover andgo backto work. This team also includes our internal audit and risk management functions, economic strategy and forecasting, investment, pension administration, controllership, treasury and actuarial services.
Human Resources
Our Human Resources (HR) team provides comprehensive human resources advice and services to the organization, enabling strategic business outcomes through our people. HR also delivers a range of operational services to WSIB employees. This team includes talent acquisition, employee and labour relations, disability management, equity, diversity and inclusion.
Information Technology
The Information Technology team manages and supportstheapplications, systems, devices, and networks used by the WSIB. The team also partners with other business areas to develop andlaunchdigital solutions to supportourbusiness processes.
Legal Services
The Legal Services team works to advance ourservicecommitment and to maximize the value it provides to the WSIB. This team works together with our people to support risk intelligent decision-making and to ensure that we act in ways that are legal, ethical and reputable.
Strategy
Our Strategy team guides and stewards the strategic planning process, in close collaboration with our President and CEO and other senior leaders.
Professional Requirements and Qualifications Applicants must be:
Legally authorized to work in Canada
Must currently be a post-secondary student who is enrolled as a full-time, post-secondary student in a recognized institution in September 2023.
Applicants may also apply to the position if they are within 6 months of their graduation date.
Final year students will need to provide proof of enrollment for their last semester
Available to work for the entire duration of the summer (May 1, 2023 – September 1, 2023)
